Questions you should ask before engaging a Buyer’s Agent

• How long have they been in the property industry, transacting all types of property at all price points?
• Do they specialise in the Newcastle area—do they have ‘born and bred’ local knowledge?
• Do they have established networks with off the market purchases, both privately and with local selling agents?
• Do they know local industry leaders in conveyancing, lending, inspection reports etc?
• How will they charge for their service? Always look for transparency!

A key question to ask is…have they themselves any personal experience with a property portfolio, purchasing, selling, renovations, sub-division, DA approvals etc?
